AfterNow specializes in envisioning, designing and building mixed reality applications for practical usecases and entertaining experiences. Our experience and knowledge in this field has enabled us to work closely with Fortune 500 companies in the entertainment, health care, aeronautics and education industries as they look to create new products based around Augmented Reality.
Examples of our practical work, to name a few, include products such as Blocker, an augmented reality director’s viewfinder for filmmakers; Beem, an asynchronous collaboration platform built for Hyperloop (HTT); and AfterNow Prez, a 3D augmented reality presentation tool that makes it easy for anyone to create immersive presentations.
AfterNow is also experienced in creating mixed reality applications for entertainment. Some of our work in this category include the Mixed Reality Easter Egg Hunt that we built for the VRLA Expo and won the Auggie Award for. We have also created the first game for the Mira Prism headset called Alien Wave.
Over the past few years we’ve created an efficient process for companies that are interested in augmented reality but are not yet sure where it would bring value and productivity gain. The process includes reviewing uses cases, capabilities of the different devices, and aligning the technology capability with current problems and possible improvements. We then generate a few prototypes and as proofs of concepts to validate productivity and value.
We have close relationships with most device manufacturers (Microsoft, MiraLabs, Metavision, ODG, Daqri) for which we are creating content and providing feedback on their SDKs. We are an official Microsoft partner for Mixed Reality and have great relationships with the HoloLens team.
Philippe Lewicki leads AfterNow as the captain. Our vision is to enhance the way humans interact with machines to work, learn, play, and socialize. Lewicki speaks all over the world about best practices and processes to build successful augmented reality experiences and applications. He was recently recognized by Variety as one of the AR/VR entrepreneurs to watch.
Much of our work is under NDA but we have a few cool projects available for the public to check out on the Services page. We’ve also been covered by press: Variety, VRScout, Mashable, UploadVR, NextReality….
